Free Friday Program

Offered every Friday afternoon between 1p.m., at 975 Elmira SE, Bandon, Oregon — the Seventh-day Adventist Church gym. Free Friday is open to all individuals who seek services, and is an equal opportunity organization, free from discrimination and judgmentFree Friday offers the following weekly free resources:  Groceries, clothing and shoes for men, women, and children (all sizes), hygiene products, bedding, camping supplies, free dog and cat food, and a lending library.

Coos County Community Outreach Resources

Every second Friday of the month, Connection Points is on campus to assist folks in need of housing, shelter, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, mental and physical healthcare services, rent and utility assistance, and domestic violence support servicesOrganizations that participate include ADAPT, Advanced Health, Gizmos AngelsBay Area Recovery, Coos Health and Wellness, Department of Human Services (DHS), HIV Alliance, and Salvation Army.

Youth Food Assistance and Support

  1. Project Full Hearts: A weekly snack-pack program for preschool, middle and elementary school children. Groceries for the weekend are distributed to students from Head Startand Bandon elementary and middle school students every Friday. For signups, please contact Carrie Fosterbandonfoodandflourish@gmail.com  
  2. Youth Center Snack Program: Weekly distribution of nutritious snacks. 
  3. Hygiene Support: Collaborating with Southern Coos Hospital in creating hygiene packs for 4th and 5th graders

C.A.R.E Coordination

 Community Acquired Resources for Everyone. The C.A.R.E. coordinator is a community liaison who connects Bandon residents with Coos County and local outreach services and resources. The BFF C.A.R.E. coordinator is Marissa Nuez, who can be contacted by email at bandonfoodandflourish@gmail.com.
